Bio
What do aviation and language study have in common? They both allow you to travel the world!
FLY English Lessons founder Frederic Hewett has been fascinated with world cultures and languages since childhood. Language study allows him to deepen his understanding of etymology, people, and history. Frederic loves aviation because of geography, exploration, and the new perspectives it offers.
Frederic grew up in San Diego, California and specialized in East Asian languages. He lived in Japan for two years and traveled extensively in China and Korea during that time. He also instructed English as a foreign language to many adults and children in those countries.
Frederic was able to combine both passions of aviation and language through FLY English Lessons. He has connected with pilots and organizations in Europe, East Asia, and the Americas.
Frederic wishes to help all pilots succeed in their aviation goals. He understands the stress and challenge of speaking and listening in a foreign language. He continues to improve his Aviation English Course to help pilots pass the ICAO English proficiency exam and truly feel confident in their English communication.
